Drop Off - Pickup Procedures
ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
Please drive slowly through all driveways and parking lots at all times!
Montessori Preprimary & Lower Elementary – Building I
Drop-off: 8:00 – 8:30 a.m.* Pick-up: 3:00-3:15 p.m.
Enter at the north driveway and proceed directly to the front of Building I. Children will be escorted to/from cars, and all cars will exit via the south driveway. Please be courteous to cars from Building II merging to exit in the same direction.
*Parents may park and escort their children to the classroom door8:15 - 8:30 a.m.
*Montessori students arriving after 8:30 a.m. will check in at the Front Office and escorted to the classroom by a staff member.
Delta 4-8th Grades – Building II
Drop-off: 8:00 – 8:15 a.m.* Pick-up: 3:00-3:15 p.m.
Please note 8:15 a.m. start time!
Enter at the north driveway, and turn right immediately into side parking lot, proceeding to the front entrance of Building II. Please be courteous to cars from Building II merging to exit in the same direction.
*Delta students arriving after 8:15 a.m. will check in at the Front Office in the Main Building to be escorted to the classroom by a staff member.
Check-in Policies & Procedures
For the children’s safety, all parents/guardians and visitors arriving any time after 8:30 a.m. are to check in at the Front Office in the Main Building. Teachers will be notified of a parent/guardian or visitor’s arrival, and students will be escorted to class by a staff member.
Tardies
Delta 4-8th Grade students are tardy after 8:15 a.m., Preprimary and Lower Elementary students are tardy after 8:30 a.m. Tardy students must check in at the Front Office and will be escorted to class by a staff member. Tardiness interferes with the student’s opportunity to focus, and impacts morning procedures for the entire class. Punctuality is critical to effectively utilize all available instructional time.
Delta 4-8th Grade Tardy Policy
- Delta students arriving later than 8:15 a.m. will be marked as tardy.
- Tardies will be excused with written notes regarding doctor appointments or emergencies.
- Delta students tardy three times within one nine-week grading period will be given a detention to be served from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. During detention students will be focus on academic work for the length of the detention period. Additional detentions will be given for every three tardies. Students accumulating more than three detentions within one grading period will be suspended for one day from school. Additional tardies within the same period will result in consequences pursuant to the Charlotte Academy Discipline Policy.
