SAT Test
Charlotte Academy utilizes the Stanford Achievement Test (S.A.T.) for norm-based standardized assessment for students in grades 2 -8. The S.A.T. is taken by students each year in the spring as an additional form of assessment in monitoring students’ progress and proficiencies.
As part of the S.A.T., Charlotte Academy participates in the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP). In this program, 6th grade students who score in the 95th percentile or higher of any subtest of the S.A.T. are invited by Duke University to take the college entrance S.A.T. alongside college-bound high school juniors and seniors. Their performance may qualify them for Duke University’s summer enrichment programs. Being identified by Duke TIP brings immediate recognition to students by colleges and universities across the nation.
